Open your mouth and take a close look in the mirror.

What do you see?

If you are like me, you may see sparkly little bits of silver… okay, maybe not exactly sparkly. More like dark, dull, grey bits.

Subtle reminders of too many sweets years ago in your childhood, or maybe not brushing and flossing as well as you should have.

Okay Mom, you were right! I should have brushed better!

The problem isn’t so much the fillings, but the toxic gas that is emitted when you chew or drink hot liquids.

Huh??

Sorry to break it to you, those fillings are made of mercury. Not silver.

Mercury is the most toxic non-radioactive metal on the planet. And it’s in your mouth!

Sucking on a toxic metal… it’s got a lovely ring to it, doesn’t it?

The problem is those dental fillings are causing you big problems. Toxic problems!

The mercury in your fillings can cause damage to your tissues, cells and organs.

The good news is that once you remove the mercury, the symptoms related to toxicity will lessen or diminish.

“If you have a mouth full of mercury fillings, you create enough mercury vapors- every time you chew- that the environment in your mouth exceeds OSHA standards.” – Dr. Myron Wentz

Mercury fillings were designed to last between seven to fifteen years. Over-achiever that I am, I’ve got some that have to be well over 35 years old. No doubt that those fillings are unstable. I am currently in the process of having my old silver fillings replaced with newer, safer options.

Once you get rid of your dental fillings, you will still need to support your body’s ability to remove the toxic residue. You can support your body’s detoxification efforts by using an effective daily antioxidant and adding N-acetyl L-cysteine and alpha lipoic acid.
